Delish Magazine is honored to be a sponsor of the upcoming Scout Handmade + Vintage Market! This fantastic event is brought to you by Rachel & Lily of Birch & Bird Vintage Home Interiors, the same dynamic duo who brought you the Fieldstone Vintage Market.
From now until May 25th, Delish will be bringing the sellers to our readers! Consider this a sneak peek to entice you to come to the market (make sure to say hi to us at the Delish General Store booth!), or an introduction to an amazing artisan, handcrafter or business for those of you who are not local to the Lower Mainland, or cannot make it out. Check back every day for new vendors!

What is the story behind your business?
My story is pretty simple actually, I have always loved and admired photography, and it started out as a hobby for me. My husband – who is all about pursuing dreams/what makes you happy, was always pushing me to take my photography further. I think he really wanted to see me get passionate about something (like the way he is about being a musician). My sister-in-law asked me to take some photos of her and her fiance, and that was it…I went out, did my first “shoot” and I was in love. The whole process was such an incredible feeling.
After that I started a blog, started taking my camera out more and I just started booking, and with in a few months I got published a few times, kept booking more, and well…here I am.
Where and when do you craft your goodies?
I don’t think this one applies to me. ha.
What will you be selling at Scout?
This year at the Scout market I will be doing a photo booth! I will also have lots of swag to give away and some postcards for sale!
Why do you like these events?
I love doing markets for the Birch & Bird Girls because I feel like its a kind of market that really suits me, and suits Jayme Anne Photography. It’s so nice to be around such creative and passionate people…it’s pretty inspiring actually.
It’s also so nice getting to meet so many people in person. Most of my interactions seem to be done over email, and it’s so nice to meet people and then move forward with a booking….nice to be more personal.
What is next for you, personally and professionally?
What’s next for me…hmmm…
Well, I am in the middle of rebranding “Jayme Anne Photography”, I’m pretty exited about that. I will be revealing my new logo at the Scout market actually! I think for the future I just hope to be able to keep being passionate, and keep growing as an artist. I love what I do, and I think that shows in my work — and I want it to keep showing! I am excited for the future and for the opportunities that are coming!
